The Dhikala Range is popular for the views of its scenic valley and wildlife sights. The area on the edge of Patli Dun valley i.e. Dhikala zone has various Ramganga river channels merging in the reservoir. It also consists of the largest existing grassland, Dhikala Chaur with Phulai Chaur. The merger of two rivers, river Mandal and river Ramganga of Jim Corbett National Park, Ramnagar, Uttarakhand is the place where you can have sight of many exotic birds including Ultramarine Flycatcher, Blue-winged Minla, Long-tailed Broadbill, and several more. The region surrounding the resthouse of Gairal forest falls in the Dhikala zone. The large grasslands of popular Dhikala, Bijrani, and sitabani zones are suitable places for bird watching in Jim Corbett forest. The hilly topography of the Durgadevi zone is overall for its exquisite rich Natural beauty as well as the outstanding bird sight. you can easily spot here many bird species like waders, herons, egrets, ducks, etc. during the winter season. This is because of the Ramganga River and its several channels while the Kosi River is filled with beautiful and mesmerizing birds like Great Thickness, Wall Creepers, Ibisbill, etc.

Other birds found here in Corbett National Park are- Lesser Pied Kingfisher, Golden Oriole, Darter, Little Green Heron, Spotted Dove, Crested Hawk Eagle, Indian Ring Dove, Rose-ringed Parakeet, and many more.
